Stan Collymore shut down his Twitter account after receiving 'more abuse than I'd care to take'. World continues to rotate on axis.

Stan the Man had more than 12,000 followers when he decided to delete his personal Twitter profile (@StanCollymore). The reason? Too much abuse from randoms. No doubt some of this abuse featured the word "dogging".

"After more abuse than id care to take,i'm afraid i'm deleting my twitter account for good."

And with that, Stan left the building, toys and all.

He has since created a new, protected Twitter profile (@CallCollymore), which you can only access if he accepts your fawning invite. At time of writing he has a mere 82 followers, all of whom GM presumes have been vetted personally by Collymore. Good luck building back up to 12,000+ followers, Stan.

In other Stan news, he lost his cool on Talksport at halftime in the Barca-Arsenal bloodbath last night. His co-presenter told him to calm down, to which Stan replied: "I'M PERFECTLY CALM!"
