On his arrival at Chelsea in 2004, the James Bond of football managers delighted the British media by claiming to be a "Special One". Not since Brian Clough has a manager exhibited such brazen self-belief - and we loved them both for it.

Mourinho is out of sight at Inter but he's slagged off Italian football so much since he arrived in Milan that it's surely only a matter of time before he either effs off to Spain (Real Madrid would love him) or back to England. The Man Utd gig is the one he craves, but he'll have to wait for Alex Ferguson to step aside first. It could be a long wait.
