After a week which has seen some pretty strong accusations thrown at Gerrard, you'd expect the PR treadmill to have whirred into overdrive and pictures of the pair of them together smiling and joking together would be plastered all over the weekend papers, a bit like the pics above.

Well, what has actually happened is that Alex Curran has been pictured without her wedding or engagement rings which will do nothing to dampen the rumour that she is enjoying the company of Derby County player Kris Commons.
